In the previous lesson you learned about the first two phases in the contracting acquisition process. Once these phases are completed and the contract is awarded, contract administration begins. There are four areas of responsibility related to contract administration:

In this lesson you will learn about the four areas of contract administration and how they differ in the current and future contracting environments. You will also learn about the roles of the CMS personnel who will be responsible for contract administration in the future environment. The roles are Contracting Officer, Contract Specialist, Project Officer, and Business Function Lead.
